Ey up, I’m Liz.
I grew up in rural North Yorkshire and spent time in Staffordshire studying for a Masters in Geoscience. I then moved to the big city of Leeds in 2013 for my first job where I stayed for a decade before coming back to the countryside at the start of 2023 to make Beverley, East Yorkshire, my home.
I have over 10 years experience working in the software and technology industry, having a number of positions throughout that time. I have worked in-house, embedded in product teams and within an agency but I have been in the position of Senior Product Designer at Cera Care since October 2023.
I practise and have skills in all phases of Product Design from initial user research and discovery, ideation and concept work, wireframing, prototyping and testing to design reviews and supporting implementation.
I’m a huge believer in being an advocate for end users, and strive to represent them through inclusive design and challenge my team to do the same.
Throughout my career, I have worked on a variety of product solutions, for a range of clients and teams of all different sizes based around the world. I have line managed and mentored other designers, and strive to introduce standardised design processes and designOps into the teams I work with.
Outside of the product design world, I enjoy and explore my creativity through crafting, DIY, interior design, gardening, baking, music and D&D. Plus, my little terrier sidekick, Bert, is never too far away from my side.
